The Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Study Program (PSTM) is one of the study programs under the Faculty of Engineering at Udayana University (UNUD). Established in 1984, the program was founded to address the growing demand for experts capable of responding to the rapid developments in the field of mechanical engineering, both in industry and research. Its legality was formalized through Rector’s Decree No. 2950/PT.17/1.01.02/1984, which was later reinforced by the issuance of the Directorate General of Higher Education’s Decree No. 64/DIKTI/Kep/88, officially granting the program its status.

Since its establishment, PSTM has continued to grow and has consistently demonstrated its quality through accreditation achievements. To date, the program has received an A accreditation rating three times from BAN-PT, the highest recognition awarded to study programs in Indonesia. The details are as follows:

1. The first A accreditation was obtained on September 29, 2011, and valid until September 29, 2016 (BAN-PT Decree No. 027/BAN-PT/Ak-XIV/S1/IX).
2. The second A accreditation was obtained on June 10, 2016, and valid until June 10, 2021 (BAN-PT Decree No. 0844/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/VI/2016).
3. The third A accreditation, which is currently valid, was obtained on June 11, 2021, and valid until June 11, 2026 (BAN-PT Decree No. 8666/SK/BAN-PT/Ak-PPJ/S/VI/2021).

These achievements reflect the commitment of the Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Study Program at Udayana University to maintaining the quality of higher education, while also serving as tangible proof of the trust placed by the public and the national accreditation body in the program’s academic, research, and community service excellence.
