Design and Tribology Laboratory Data
Laboratory Profile
"Design and Tribology Laboratory"
The Tribology and Design Laboratory is one of the laboratories in the Mechanical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University. This laboratory is needed for the study and research on material / component surfaces and the interactions between surfaces. Several fields that are part of the study that can be carried out in this laboratory include contact mechanics, friction, surface wear and failure, material surface modification including coating (metal thermal coating), and lubrication. To support the tribology study, this laboratory is equipped with surface topography measuring instruments (Contact stylus profilometry), wear test equipment (rotary ball-on-disk, reciprocating ball-on-plate and disk-to-disk machine). In the field of design, studies that can be carried out in this laboratory are the study of the design of a product which also includes load analysis, stress and strain components / products. For design studies, this lab is equipped with a computer with a software application, namely Ansys (integrated with the Mechanical Engineering Computer Lab).?
