Internship (KP)
The internship is one of the requirements for completing a level of education at the university. It is arranged with the aim of demonstrating students’ ability and scientific thinking attitude independently.
The internship is a requirement for Mechanical Engineering students to obtain a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University, equivalent to 2 credits (SKS). In addition, the internship is an activity that will be documented in a special reference group at the Department level.
Scope
The internship is an individual academic activity in the form of field practice, case studies, or a combination, arranged in a format and procedure in accordance with the established rules. It includes an activity report as a contribution to the development of science/technology, carried out by the student under the guidance of a Supervising Lecturer.
Objectives
The objectives of preparing the internship are to provide students with the ability to:
- Comprehend scientific principles in order to think, act, and behave as a scientist.
- Expand and deepen knowledge in the field of study/fieldwork material.
- Communicate ideas and scientific findings in written form through reports according to the rules.
Benefits of the Internship
To broaden and deepen knowledge gained in the classroom, and apply it in the industrial world and in fieldwork outside the campus.

Academic Requirements for the Internship
To apply for and take the internship, or to program it in the KRS through IMISSU, students must meet the following academic requirements:
- Internship applications to companies can be submitted at the beginning of the 5th semester or the end of the 4th semester, with the requirement of having completed at least 80 credits (SKS). The internship is carried out during the end-of-5th semester break (before programming the 6th semester KRS). A transcript issued by the Study Program must be attached.
- Students who have received a response from the company must program the internship in the 6th semester KRS.
